In January of 1964,  when I was barely eighteen,  what I considered a 'normal' life began to disappear when I moved into a dormitory room known to be haunted by a poltergeist.  To make a long story short, not only did both my roommate and I have lots of trouble with physical objects appearing and reappearing,  but I learned, to my horror, that I could 'hear' the spirit laugh.

That was only the beginning.  By the time I was twenty, for me the 'veil' between the physical and nonphysical was pretty much in tatters. Visions,  sensing and hearing presences,  seeing futures,  had become common place, and was not well understood by me or any of my college friends.  I gained the reputation of being 'neurotic', a euphemism inferring that I was crazy, and I wasn't at all sure that they were wrong.

In 1966, the ante went up another peg.  In January, on a trip to the American Southwest, as a geology student,  I bussed through Sedona and had lunch there.  I had no idea that it was a major energy vortex, and how that much energy could have an impact on a sensitive as myself.   By the next day, however,  while on a field trip around Flagstaff, Arizona  I learned I could hear the mountains 'talk'.

Though these experiences traumatized my experience of geology,  I  still continued to plan to attend graduate school and teach geology.  In the summer of 1966,  between my junior and senior year in college, however, I met the man I had seen in a dream, and married him.  At that point,  I did not understand that dreams could be warnings, and the marriage dissolved eight years later.  By that time,  I had three young boys to support, and the college degree I had yearned for was a broken dream. I finally graduated, but did not get my diploma until 1978. Getting my degree involved taking courses one at a time when I could.  And though my degree is in Geology, I have never worked in that field.  In 1980,  I got on the job training in mainframe computers, and worked with them for 25 years.

The next experience to open up was after death communication. Between my freshman and sophomore year in college "J", a resident of my dormitory, died unexpectedly. Her horse threw her, breaking her neck, killing her instantly.  Teenagers and young adults usually aren't concerned with their own mortality; having  a peer die, particularly a well-liked one, upset many people I knew.  I hadn't known her well - her dorm room was on another floor, I had no classes with her, and had different friends.  One guy I dated for a short time who knew her said we resembled each other in some way.  I also learned later that we were both Scorpios.

Then, when I was twenty-two, I began to 'see' her face superimposed on people's faces as I passed them on the street.  Along with it were words in my head saying, "Tell my mother.  Tell my mother."  At that point in my life,  I lived more than 1200 miles from her mother, and wasn't about to make a long distance call to her. On and off , I would hear from "J", always with the words, "Tell my mother, tell my mother."  Some time later, when I relocated to the Midwest, I nervously looked her mother up and called her.  Beginning with the words, "I'm not a crank", I identified myself and told her mother than I had been hearing from her daughter for years, and wanted her to know that "J" wanted her to know she was okay and loved her.  The mother took me seriously, thank goodness, and said to call her again if I heard anything more.  Once I made that communication, I never heard from "J" again.

"J"'s communication, however, seemed  to have opened a door.  From then on,  I began I get a series of 'stories' from people I knew were no longer alive.  Some of them were past life memories, but at the time, as I did not believe in reincarnation.  I put any communication in the category of contacts from disembodied spirits.

In 1975, while attending a class on comparative religions at my Alma Mater (I had to have one more religion course for graduation),  I learned that the primary eastern religions had reincarnation as part of its philosophy.  Reincarnation for both Hindus and Buddhists is more than a belief.  It is a given, the basis for their belief systems.  At the end of one class, as I walked down the stairs,  I had what I call a total bleed-through.  For about a minute (though it could have been 5 minutes),  I simultaneously experienced the present time world (the stairway, the view of the campus mall on a summer day from the window),  and  my sitting around a large campfire intoning the name of  Indra (an early Hindu God of Fire) on a cold, pitch black night.

This experience upset me greatly.  I spoke to a friend about it who suggested I read a book called Seth Speaks by Jane Roberts.  A few months later,  I came upon the book and bought it.  Because of my heavy work load, however,  I did not read it until March of 1976,  when I was out of work a week with bronchitis.

I read the book in an hour and a half.  What was strange about it was the reading was not about learning new material, but a remembering.  For me, it was my wake up call.   It was through Jane Robert's book  The Nature of Personal Reality  that I heard about beliefs creating one's experience.  As Seth said his book was more about theory rather than methodology,  I looked around for classes in methodology.

Through the late seventies, I took courses in how to recognize unexamined belief systems and how to change them.  In one of these courses, I also learned how to contact my nonphysical guides.  In turn, one of the guides showed me a wonderful way to access past life information.   Over the years,  I have found the technique to be more helpful, and less dangerous than any other technique that I have ever come across.  When I say dangerous, there is always the possibility that a past life someone is retrieving can bleed-through into the present life. Bleed-throughs of this sort can cause many problems.  Anyone doing past life regressions needs to be able to recognize this and work with a client in the event this happens.

I also joined a local Seth group and began to experiment with the paranormal.   I tried some of the stuff that Jane spoke about in her books.   I was not able to bring in a Seth,  but I learned I could turn on a 'channel' and dictate strange, powerful, and beautiful poetic paragraphs.  I also learned I could talk and sing in languages I didn't know.  Jane did this and called it the Sumari.   Sumari was the soul family to which Jane belonged.  When I asked what my soul family I was, I got the name EKtavasi.  EKtavasi is not one of the soul families Seth enumerated later.  I suspect it is a synthesis of two or more of the soul families.

Over the years,  what I have learned, from my own sources,  is that the EKtavasi differs from the Sumari in that the EKtavasi pulls in energy. Though it might sound the same as Sumari, which would be the expression of one's own personal feelings at the moment, but the energy kicker might assist healing, both physical or emotional, or can express the energy of what happens to be in the area.

The first time I sang in public in a psychic group,  I was told that I channeled the energy of the entire cave system in The Black Hills through my throat!   Because of its strangeness,  I have done very little public singing over the years.  I sang privately at my father's funeral and publicly at my mother's funeral; I somehow 'knew'  that the energy that would ease the grief of the living and help the dead transition better.

Since 1994,  I occasionally sang at energy gatherings with my psychic group and also at solstice and prayer stick ceremonies, In the summer of 2006,  I recorded a CD. I call it new CD Sounds from Sacred Places, and it is available for purchase on this website.

In 1984,  I met a man who had worked with a medium who had moved from the California to the Midwest.  I had a reading with this medium, and ended up taking classes from her, and others in her group, until the fall of 2002.   In 1990, I began to make trips  all over the world - Egypt, Venezuela, Israel, Jordan, Syria, China, Mongolia, Siberia, Bhutan (in the Himalayas), and Scotland.  These trips were with a group of psychics and mediums visiting places to regain ancient knowledge,  help balance the energies of the planet (which can be done with a group of mediums), and/or do mass soul rescues.  Ten days after Sept 11, 2001,  about fourteen of us were on a plane to New York City to visit ground zero and assist the "stragglers" and convince the terrorists who did not want to leave, but hang around and make mischief, to leave.  Our role was mostly to hold the energy on the physical side while our non physical counterparts did the work, but it was a necessary piece.  We also saw the rift in energy caused by the attack be healed in such a way that ground zero would be less vulnerable to attack again.

In the summer of 1988, the Twin Cities in Minnesota had a terrible drought.  I lived in a town home at the time, and had a little garden.  On a calm day in August of that year, while watering the garden,  I felt something on my shoulder.  It was a tree branch.  Then my psychic ears heard someone say "Water, please!"  Being the pragmatic psychic I am, I questioned my sanity on this one.  Nevertheless, I believe I gave the young maple some water.  Unfortunately,  it was not enough.  It was dead by spring.  Two years later,  a medium friend of mine began channeling communications from the Redwood trees, and I realized I hadn't been as 'crazy' as I thought.  By 1994,  I was channeling messages from the trees also.  In the late fall of 1994,  I made a special trip to the Redwoods to 'interview' them individually.  The communications I received are in an upcoming book, and one of them I recited in my CD Sounds of Sacred Places.   To this day,  I still feel bad that I didn't pay more attention to the young maple that was a victim of my skepticism.  By the way, I am still trying to figure out how the branch moved to touch me on a calm day. Some have suggested it was a tree diva.

In 1996,  I had an astrology reading from the group astrologer that 'felt' wrong.  She was not a person who took disagreement easily, and I was not sure enough of myself to make too much of an issue of it.  I thought about going to another astrologer for a second opinion, but decided it was about time that I learned enough on the matter so that I would not be victim to other people's interpretations.  A few months later,  I began a correspondence course in Natal Astrology,  Transits and Progressions.  I did not finish the correspondence course - the manual calculations took more time than I could spare.  Instead, I bought a state of the art astrology program and began to study the non mathematical part of it. From 1997 - 2005, my studies were sporadic, and I didn't had the confidence to do astrological readings to anyone but friends.

In the spring of 2005,  I attended a local Astrology club meeting and realized I knew a lot more than I given myself credit for!  It was from them that I learned about the Online College of Astrology, and, because I realized I needed the focus of formal classes to really learn Astrology,  in the May of 2005 I began to take online classes. In January of 2007,  I received my certificate in Natal Astrology, and, by January 2009, hope to have earned my diploma.   By the way, the reason the Astrology reading felt wrong is that the astrologer did not bother to check the calculations of the natal chart -  it was an hour off, which can be significant, not only in understanding the individual chart, but also for predicting trends correctly.

In 2002,  I left the psychic traveler group, not without misgivings, and not with full comprehension about why I left.  Only later did I realize that the group had outlived its purpose for me, that I also had an undiagnosed autoimmune disease which was sapping my energy, and I not only needed to move on to other things, I needed to conserve my energy.

In 2003,  I began taking seminars at the Monroe Institute in Faber Virginia.  The courses are designed to help people learn to use expanded states of consciousness in a controlled way to aid in personal growth and healing, among other things.  Having had over fifteen years of intense psychic training made my experience pretty expansive.  I began to be able to see the places where I got information, and the beings who gave me the information much more clearly. In my readings today,  I can literally go to the places I could only guess at before, and do so without need of the Monroe tapes, though I do use them for relaxation and energy balancing on a regular basis.   I have attended 6 Monroe seminars, have another scheduled for the fall of 2010.

In the spring of 2005,  the autoimmune disease (not diagnosed until 2010) and other health problems cost me my job.  Now, while on disability, I am taking advantage of the few hours of energy I have in the day to write metaphysical blogs and do some psychic work - classes and readings.  After graduating from OCA (now IAA - International Academy of Astrology)  I tried doing some astrological work, but found that the research was too time consuming and tiring.  Today when I do readings I still peek at astrological trends in the progressed chart, but my primary focus is psychic.

From 2005 through the spring of 2007,  I worked out of an office about four miles from home.  In the June of 2007, we sold our home in Richfield Minnesota, and moved to a larger home in Loveland, Colorado.  We had not been in Colorado more than a month or so when I began having health problems.  I then spent most of 2008 dealing with surgeries and recovery from them.

To make a long story short,  my hope and desire to cultivate clients and a business in Colorado has been severely curtailed by health problems; as of this writing, I am hopeful that the most significant of my health difficulties may soon be behind me.  After years of testing, doctors have finally diagnosed my 'chronic fatigue' as a treatable form of anemia.

In the future, if I can regain some of the energy which I have lost,  I will be putting more effort into metaphysical publications, public speaking, and working with clients.

So what kinds of things do I do?

 As a psychic:

bullet

I 'read' chakras and auras

bullet

I 'see' energies around bodies, look into bodies to see 'dark' spots on the first level of the aura Sometimes I can 'see' muscles or parts of the body that are inflamed.

bullet

I can see past life pictures in a client's body, and also can see the pictures they get (but not the emotions) when I do a regression.

bullet

I give classes on psychic awareness, how to ground, and the basics of how to read chakras, etc, the nature of mediumship, and basics on the nature of psychic energy.

 As a medium:

bullet

I can pull in healing energy to break up the 'dark spots' (good for minor aches and pains),  and help 'cool' inflamed muscles.  I have had an idea that I am actually seeing meridian points, and have been doing some independent study to check to see if this theory might have some merit.

bullet

I work with the client's guides, and my guides.  Since Monroe,  I can actually go where they reside, and talk to them.  For years I have worked with a group of beings I call the statisticians who will give probability statistics on an future event as they look in the present.   I also can look up people who have recently transitioned, or, if they are unavailable (sometimes transitioned souls are not available),  I can find out what's happening to them.  Very often,  I have been able to pass on simple messages from souls who have passed over, again only if they are available.

bullet

I can communicate with souls ready to be born.  If you, or someone you know is pregnant, you might be interested in this service.  One of the biggest things that irk a child is to be born with the wrong name.  I was one of them and see that having the wrong name diminished some of my energy.  If you have a name for a child, check it out to make sure it will work.  If it doesn't, the child is likely to have a name ready (though it may not be one you particularly like).

bullet

Speaking of names, looking for a name for a new pet?  Since 1994, most of the pets in my household have named themselves, either through a dream, or, later, by communicating with them in a nonphysical way.  If you are looking for a pet,  I can also get a 'picture' of the type of animal that is looking for you.

bullet

I sometimes channel one of my multidimensional messages for a client.  It takes a minute or less and they are always timed and dated.  Some clients have found these 'ditties' to be enormously helpful.

bullet

I am currently experimenting with 'sound' healing, of incorporating the EKtavasi with healing touch to help a client heal more quickly.  In this case,  the client is taught how to participate.

As an astrologer:

bullet

At this point I do what I call 'metaphysical delineation';  though I do look at physical 'signposts' such as aspects and such, I  look for the configurations which seem to 'light up' in a person's chart.  As I mentioned before, I no longer do natal charts, but spend about 10-15 minutes, if appropriate, during a reading on current astrological trends I might see.

bullet

Occasionally someone will ask me to do a relationship synthesis,  or look at possible birth times for an unborn child.  Though I do some analysis (which includes a psychic perspective),  I also incorporate computerized reports.  I do not do this kind of 'reading' live, but only by email.

As a psychic/medium/astrologer:

bullet

Though I only have basic psychology courses,  my focus for clients is about their personal growth.  My readings are not entertainment.  Occasionally, I could bring up information that might be uncomfortable to levels of the psyche.  The focus, always, is to assist the client in mastering life lessons and overcoming 'blocks' which impede the person from experiencing life to its fullest.
